Tea, cake, character and charm at the Cavendish Coffee House in Falmouth

Cavendish Coffee House is a gorgeous little café in Falmouth town centre and one of my very favourite places to head to for a pot of tea and girly chit-chat. While Falmouth offers many chain coffee shops, this cutesy hideaway holds its own with bags more character and charm than anywhere else around.

There is always the most amazing cake display in the window with freshly made meringues, cupcakes, scones and layered sponges piled high. Inside, the décor is ‘vintage chic’ and the lovely knick-knacks and floral wallpaper all add to the ambience. While it looks beautiful in the sunshine, it’s a great escape from the rain and the crowds with its one cosy room and handful of round tables.

A long lunch with a pot of tea and a panini is definitely the best way to enjoy the Cavendish. My personal favourite has to be the farmhouse panini, oozing with cheese, French grain mustard, ham and red onion. Simple and delicious!
